I am originally from Santos, São Paulo, and my work as a textile artist stems from observing and contemplating everyday life, revealing the beauty that emerges in the transformations of diverse materials and in the gestures that shape simple moments filled with affection.
For me, art goes beyond an act of resistance; it's a path to reinterpreting my own sensibility. It's through the creative process that I free myself from external expectations, find connection with the divine, and affirm creation as a space of presence and awareness.
Rosie Rugs
Rosie is the name of my studio dedicated to contemporary textile art. My work explores the mixing of different techniques and materials, such as the recycling of picture frames that are transformed and covered with various textile applications. The pieces gain a three-dimensional finish and incorporate elements such as beads, gemstones, and other details that enhance the sensory experience.
